What is
FREISCO?
FREISCO is an acronym for
Freeman
Real Estate Information Systems; the CO was added to the domain because
www. FREIS.com was taken already.
So what is
FREIS? Since 1995 I've been active in the development of a
database of real property. The intention of the development was
two-fold. First, I wanted to be able to find properties faster
than any rival agent and I absolutely didn't want to have to physically
"pull a file" to give information to a potential client over
the phone. I can still get properties in front of me and my
clients via email faster than any other agent in my market. The second reason for development
of FREIS is to sell user licensing rights to other Boards of Realtors.
This program is NOT designed for individual offices or individual
agents. This is NOT a "Top Producer(r)" type product.
My program can be completely internet based, or installed on
board/office servers, depending on the desires of the board. I can
start with my property data sheets and use existing templates, or I can
build the product from the ground up, or I can implement a mix of both.
The primary point is that I can easily and rapidly deploy a custom
solution for your board, presuming your information requirements are
within the "realm of reasonableness."
I've developed and fine-tuned the
program to such a degree that maintenance is a breeze.
Whether inputting a listing, running comps, creating a good CMA, pulling
market reports, or creating and staffing a new brokerage; everything is
very straightforward and user friendly.
Since 1995 I've been running FREIS
independently in a stand-alone environment, in parallel with our MLS
provider. I've gone from a book-only MLS to a books and computer
MLS, and now use an internet only MLS. Our board recently
converted to another MLS system provider, requiring minor conversions on
my part. The conversions I've made were quite quick to implement
across all records, forms, templates, and reports. When you are
the programmer, implementing changes is quick and effective, and
generally not too complex if you had the foresight to account for
"legacy system stupidity" in their data schemes, which I
certainly did! (Don't forget, I am a real estate broker in
addition to a database programmer!)
The addition of my Virtual Office
Website (VOW) is based on a very limited dataset sent from my desktop
FREIS version to my servers on the net. The search criteria,
lists, and detail forms are, to put it mildly, rudimentary and do not
begin to capture or utilize the full capabilities of FREIS. I will
continue to refine my VOW (as NAR permits anyway) to become the premier
VOW in my market.
If you have a small to mid-sized
association with 30-200 agents and think your board might be interested
in having a look at my product, please feel free to contact me.
Now you at least have an idea of
what FREISCO is doing in the URL above!
